The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) proudly announced the winners of the 2024 Outstanding Filipino Retailers (OFR) Awards during a glittering ceremony on September 25, 2024, at Solaire Resort North. This prestigious event recognized the remarkable achievements and contributions of retailers who have set new standards in sustainability, innovation, and leadership in the Philippine retail industry.
One of the key highlights of the evening was the presentation of the PRA President’s Award, a distinct honor bestowed upon an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the Philippine retail industry. This year, the PRA President’s Award was proudly given to Hans Sy, Chairman of the Executive Committee of SM Prime Holdings, as the Retail Development Visionary. The PRA recognized Mr. Sy for his visionary leadership in retail development, creating innovative and sustainable retail spaces that have provided Filipino retailers with unparalleled opportunities for growth and business expansion. His remarkable contributions continue to shape and elevate the retail industry in the Philippines.
In addition to this prestigious recognition, the OFR Awards celebrated excellence across various sectors. This year’s awards highlighted not only the success of large retailers but also shone a spotlight on the innovation and resilience of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), proving that excellence in retail knows no bounds.

Wilcon Depot, a powerhouse in the industry, secured multiple accolades, winning in the large categories for Sustainability, Retail Innovation in Business Process, and Retail Innovation in Digital Transformation. ALDO and Human also triumphed in the Sustainability Award categories, while Aficionado was recognized for Retail Innovation in Business Process. BENCH, Urban Revivo, and Studio Dimensione distinguished themselves with their innovative store design and merchandising. In the realm of workplace excellence, Golden ABC Inc. (The Penshoppe Group) and Anthem were celebrated for their outstanding commitment to creating exemplary work environments.
This year’s awards also recognized the outstanding contributions of malls and shopping centers in shaping the retail landscape. Robinsons Magnolia was honored with the Sustainable Shopping Center Design Award for its commitment to eco-friendly practices, while Araneta City took home the Mall Innovation Award for its pioneering approach in enhancing the shopping experience.
