The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), the national organization of retailers, suppliers, and shopping centers in the country, is leading the retail industry as it enters a new era through its biggest event for retailers – the two-day National Retail Conference and Expo (NRCE) 2023 opening today at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
Headlining the 29th NRCE slated on Aug. 10 and 11 with the theme “Retail Breakthrough” are Mariana Zobel de Ayala, director of Ayala Land Inc., who will deliver the opening keynote on “The Power of Women at the Forefront of Progress,” and Joseph Tanbuntiong, chief business officer of Jollibee Foods Corp., who give the closing keynote on “Rapid Expansion: Challenges and Opportunities in Managing Business Growth.”
Under the guidance of the new PRA president Roberto Claudio Sr., who’s also chairman emeritus of Quorum Holdings Corp., the organization is offering its audience learning sessions led by industry captains and visionary leaders in retail and allied industries.
Joining the high-caliber roster of speakers are representatives from the country’s big four shopping malls, including Ayala Malls president Christopher Maglanoc; Megaworld Lifestyle Malls head and first vice president Graham Coates; Robinsons Malls EVP and general manager Faraday Go; and SM Supermalls president Steven Tan for a future-centric panel session.
The conference will also feature distinguished speakers who will share their insights on achieving business success, including Herve Bullot, marketing director of Levi’s Strauss & Co. – East Asia Pacific; Jake Yrastorza, managing partner of Gigil; and Pauline Fermin, president and CEO of Acumen Strategy Consultants.
