This year marks a significant milestone to one of the leading building, finishing, and furnishing retail store in the country, as CW Home Depot celebrates its 20th year company anniversary. The celebration started as early as January of this year with a series of special programs and activities such as video competition for its customers, a unity fun run for its employees and trade partners, and two renovation projects for the benefit of the local community in Pasig City.
“The 20 years fly very fast since we started the idea of putting up a unique store-within-store retail platform for both homeowers and builders in Ortigas on October 20, 2004. Since then CW Home Depot continuously upgrades its product lines and brands which cater to the growing demand of Filipino customers”, said Engr. Napoleon G. Co, president of CW Home Depot.
Established on July 1, 2003, CW Marketing & Development Corporation is a joint venture of Cebu Oversea and Hardware, Inc. and Westpoint Industrial Sales Company, Inc. with both solid foundations in the business of hardware operations, importation of construction products and real estate developments in the Philippines.
CW Home Depot rapidly gained its brand recognition as a convenient one-stop-shop that offers a wide range of product categories and premium local and foreign brands in the market. In addition, CW Home Depot is a home to various well-known specialty stores and brands in the building and interior design arena.
All CW Home Depots are strategically laid out into 4 divisions namely the Builders’ Store or its D-I-Y Section, the Interior Store, the Appliance Store with a roster of Specialty Stores. Currently, CW Home Depot has seven existing branches located in Westgate, Alabang; Balintawak; Commonwealth; Ortigas; San Fernando, Pampanga; Sta. ON BUILDING TIMELESS HOMES
One of the special highlights of CW Home Depot’s anniversary celebration was a video competition dubbed as “Your Journey in Building Your Timeless Home with CW Home Depot.” The video competition aims to highlight real-life stories of CW Home Depot’s customers and clients and how they were able to achieve their timeless homes together with CW Home Depot as their trusted partner in providing quality yet affordable finishing and furnishing materials.
“In celebration of our 20th anniversary, we desired to highlight the real stories of our customers and clients and how CW Home Depot was able to support them accomplish and build their timeless homes. Having this video competition was very monumental for us since it allowed us to see the transition of our products into real-life timeless homes,” said Mr. Ferdinand G. Co, CW Home Depot’s managing director.
A total of 15 video entries were carefully deliberated by esteemed guest judges from the United Architects of the Philippines and the Philippine Constructors Association.

The lucky winners were announced on CW Home Depot’s official Facebook page last April 15, 2023. The winners were the following: 1st place – Mrs. Fiona Singson-Santos (2nd place – Mrs. Melanie Aquino and 3rd place – Mr. Petruse Pauluse Salagubang.
ON GIVING BACK
CW Home Depot not only aims to provide quality finishing and construction materials, it also aims to improve the lives of every Filipino by spearheading worthwhile local community renovation projects. CW Home Depot has turned over three newly renovated comfort rooms in the Kanlungan sa Pasig.
The Kanlungan sa Pasig is considered a home for individuals in crisis as the facility aims to provide a safe space for healing and recovery for children in conflict with the law (CICL), children at risk, teen moms, victims of violence against women and children (VAWC), victims of violence towards LGBTQIA, and the abandoned elderly.
In partnership with the Office of Social Welfare and Development headed by the City Government Department Head Ma. Teresa O. Briones and the local government unit of Pasig City, the renovation project has finally been completed and was turned-over to its City Mayor, Hon. Victor Ma Regis Sotto last March 23, 2023.
For the past 20 years, CW Home Depot also considered the City of Pasig as its adopted home as it is where its head office was established and is currently situated. This worthwhile project is a way of giving back to the community by improving the finishing facilities of a community center.
“CW Home Depot is one with the Local Government Unit of Pasig City’s mission in helping the individuals in crisis find a safe haven where they can fully recover in the facility of the Kanlungan sa Pasig. We were very delighted to have been part of a mission that not only celebrates our 20th anniversary milestone but also to extend our share in improving the lives of the people in Pasig City” said Mr. Ferdinand G. Co during the turnover and acceptance ceremony.

ON HELPING THE COMMUNITY
CW Home Depot, together the Habitat for Humanity Philippines and some 35 volunteer-employees, had carried out a 1-day immersion program to help renovate the Habitat Pasig 1 multi-purpose center located at Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City that is considered home for at least 120 families.
Habitat for Humanity Philippines is a non-profit organization that builds sustainable communities by providing affordable and decent homes for the less privileged and by partnering with various sectors for holistic community development.
“As much as possible, we want our team to experience how it is like to conduct an actual renovation project so they will have a glimpse of our customer’s experience in improving their homes after they buy the products from our stores. We want them to be fully immersed most especially to the industry our company serves,” said Mr. Kenneth T. Tung, general manager of CW Home Depot.
The employee engagement program, held last June 3, 2023, was spearheaded by the Habitat for Humanity Philippines direct marketing officer – Ms. Charmaine Macatangay; donor management officer – Ms. Catalina Serrano and CW Home Depot’s corporate communications and events manager – Ms. Ana Flores-Bermudez; interior design unit manager – Ms. Nina Cello A. ON EMPOWERING PEOPLE
A unity fun run – Takbo Para Sa CW Home Depot was held to promote camaraderie among its employees, suppliers, tenants, and trade partners last April 29, 2023. Attended by some 350 runners who competed for 2.5 and 5K race categories, the event was indeed a special milestone for everyone since not only it promotes healthy living but most importantly builds solidarity among CW Home Depot family and its valued trade partners.
