About Retail Employees Day (RED)
Retail Employees Day (RED) is a global celebration initiated by the Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN) in 2011. Adopted worldwide, including the Philippines in 2018, RED aims to express gratitude to retail employees, especially front liners. Over 700 brands and six million employees have participated in the celebration globally, with significant engagement in India, Turkey, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Bangladesh.
In the Philippines, the PRA has been a pioneer in the RED celebration since 2018, recognizing the paramount importance of showing gratitude for the remarkable service of retail employees. The celebration continues to gain momentum, bringing together retailers, employees, and the community in a shared spirit of gratitude and recognition.
