The signing ceremony, conducted on January 25, 2024, was graced by the presence of esteemed representatives from both organizations. Signing on behalf of the Philippine Retailers Association were PRA President Roberto S. Claudio, Sr., and PRA Director for International Affairs Lorenzo C. Formoso. Representing FILSCAP were FILSCAP President Nonoy Tan, FILSCAP Vice President Tito Cayamanda, and FILSCAP Asst. Treasurer Raquel Dacillo.
The original MOA, inked on January 31, 2022, had a two-year term commencing on January 1, 2022, and concluding on December 31, 2023. Within the MOA, PRA members in good standing were entitled to a discounted FILCAP licensing rate.
The newly extended agreement ensures the continuity of this fruitful partnership for an additional year, until December 31, 2024. Importantly, there will be no rate increase from the original MOA, and that the terms and conditions stipulated in the original agreement will remain unchanged throughout this extended period.
The renewal of this MOA underscores the commitment of PRA and FILSCAP to nurturing a harmonious relationship and fostering a conducive environment for the creative arts within the retail industry.
