By Primer Group of Companies
The Primer Group of Companies proudly joined the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) in celebrating Retail Employees’ Day (RED) this December 12 – an annual tribute to the hardworking individuals who bring life, passion, and excellence to the retail industry.
This year’s message behind RED resonates deeply with Primer: recognizing the everyday heroes on the sales floor who create meaningful customer experiences, build connections, and drive the spirit of service forward. The celebration reinforces a truth we hold dear – our Primer Frontline Leaders are the heart of our mission of Bringing the World Closer to Our Customers. Through their service, knowledge, and genuine care, they translate this mission into memoerable, real-life moments in every store.
To honor our Primer Frontline Leaders, Primer participated in PRA’s national campaign, where retail employees were invited to share their own stories – whether a glimpse into a day in the life of a retail professional, a personal career milestone, or a collaborative team moments in the stores. Participants uploaded their videos on Tiktok, using PRA’s recommended hashtags such as #RED2025, #InADaysWork, #ProudlyPRA, and #LifeInRetail.
Alongside these, we introduced our own hashtag, #PrimerHeroes2025, to spotlight and celebrate our unique culture of excellence. This hashtag represents our belief that every KaPrimer is a hero—someone who not only supports customers but also uplifts colleagues and contributes to the growth of our organization. It is our way of affirming that heroism in Primer is lived out daily through authentic service and commitment.
This year, we are also proud to highlight Mamiko Baby De Guzman, our Store Management Trainee under the KaPrimer PRO program. KaPrimer PRO is Primer’s specialized “Potential Refined On the Ground” (PRO) initiative—a 2-year store leadership development program designed to cultivate emerging leaders by providing hands-on experience, professional coaching, and opportunities to grow within the organization. Mamiko was previously commended during the ADB 2025 Event for her exceptional dedication, leadership potential, and exemplary performance, exemplifying what it means to be a future Primer Frontline Leader.
As part of RED, Primer’s HR Department recognized outstanding entries across three categories: Most Inspiring Story, Best Creativity, and Best Team Video. Winners received special cash rewards as a token of appreciation for their creativity, dedication, and passion—while keeping prize amounts confidential as intended.
Beyond RED, Primer continues to reinforce a culture of recognition. Before the fiscal year ends, we will also honor our most outstanding Primer Frontline Leaders and top-performing stores through special awards such as Store of the Year and other performance recognition categories. These awards reflect our commitment to celebrating excellence, consistency, and the unwavering spirit of our retail teams.
Through our participation in RED, the recognition of our KaPrimer PRO talents like Mamiko, and our ongoing awards programs, Primer Group of Companies reaffirms its commitment to honoring the stories, dedication, and everyday victories of our Primer Frontline Leaders.
On Retail Employees’ Day—and every day—we celebrate the heart of Primer: our people.
