Being good and doing good blesses not only those who receive, but also those who choose to give. When generosity comes from a sincere heart without expecting anything in return, it creates ripples of kindness that touch lives in ways words cannot fully express.
This year, the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), together with its HR Council, kicked off its annual outreach program with double the joy by extending assistance to two beneficiaries: Kanlungan ni Maria in Antipolo, Rizal, and Nayon ng Kabataan in Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.
PRA members responded with overwhelming generosity, donating essential items and gifts that addressed the direct needs of both beneficiaries. PRA Secretary General Ms. BM Miranda, HR Council Chairman Mr. Jon Ortiz, and Co-Chairwoman Ms. Zeny Camahalan, emphasized that giving back is more than providing material support, it is offering hope and reminding others that there is a beautiful world waiting for them.
With guidance from PRA President and Golden ABC President and CEO Ms. Alice Liu, the PRA Secretariat visited Kanlungan ni Maria last December 4, providing essential items for elderly residents, who expressed their gratitude through warm smiles and heartfelt songs.
The following day, December 5, PRA members brought joy to the 147 children of Nayon ng Kabataan, spending time playing games, sharing meaningful conversations, and distributing gifts that brought genuine smiles and moments of connection.
In our small way, we hope to have brought light, joy, and hope to the lives entrusted to us. We remain committed to continuing this initiative and transforming one life at a time.
