Cebu-grown retail giant Prince Retail Group is set to strengthen its presence across the Philippines, planning to open at least 100 new stores under its Prince Hypermart brand over the next five years.
The company is also allocating between P280 million and P300 million to enhance its distribution centers (DCs), reinforcing its foothold in rural and unbanked areas.
Now marking its 35th year, Prince Retail Group—spearheaded by founder and CEO Robert Go—is capitalizing on the growth of the Philippine retail sector by establishing full-scale retail facilities in various islands and municipalities nationwide.
Staying true to its mission of serving underserved communities, the company adheres to its guiding philosophy, “One Town, One Prince.” The upcoming launch of its 73rd branch in Siargao, the country’s surfing capital, underscores this commitment.
Prince Retail Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) Rhea Janice Go-Lao expressed optimism about the retail landscape in 2025, citing an expected rebound in consumer spending following two years of high inflation.
