Home improvement and construction supplies retailer Wilcon Depot Inc. (Wilcon Depot) expects to hit its goal of having 100 stores by next year with an additional 10 set to open this year.
Three new stores have already been opened in 2023 and seven more are in the pipeline, Wilcon Depot Senior Executive Vice President and COO Rosemarie Ong told reporters at the sidelines of a Philippine Retailers Association event last Thursday.
Ong said Wilcon Depot would continue with its expansion “as we are already close to getting 100 stores.”
“Right now, we have 86 stores, and we are still building. As for when we will complete our 100th store, it will hopefully be by next year, as with the rate that we are going, I am certain we will be able to achieve it.”
Ong said Wilcon Depot was also aiming to expand outside of Metro Manila.
